Job Summary
This position offers an experienced engineer the
opportunity to make major contributions in developing algorithms for
our software defined radio and positioning and navigation projects.
This position requires strong independent and team research abilities.

Job Description
This Research Engineer will be responsible for
the following: ·
Develop and
implement navigation and signal processing algorithms ·
Provide signal
processing analytical support for research and systems projects ·
Evaluate
alternate/improved sensor processing algorithms to enhance system
functionality via analysis/simulation/experimentation ·
Prototype
software designs in MATLAB, transition to real-time C-code, and
support demonstration efforts on sensor test-bed and prototype
hardware ·
Perform functions with signal acquisition and
tracking loops (PLL, DLL, FLL, MLE, KF)
Requirements
The successful candidate
must possess
knowledge, skills, and three plus years experience in the following
areas:

Estimation theory
methodology, Kalman filtering, and Stochastic models
·
Highly proficient programming skills in MATLAB
and C/C++
·
Signal acquisition and tracking loops (PLL, DLL,
FLL, MLE, KF)
·
Statistical
Signal processing and Adaptive Signal processing
The following knowledge,
skills and experience is highly desirable:

Experience
working with GPS receiver or digital communication system design
·
Experience with
implementation of algorithms using general purpose processors for
real-time applications
·
Spatial
processing algorithm development
·
Familiarity/experience working with real time operating systems and
FPGA design
·
RF design
experience
Citizenship, Education, and Security
Clearance
·
U.S.
citizenship is required. An active Secret or Top Secret Clearance is a
plus. At a minimum, must be security clearance eligible
·
MS or higher in Engineering, Physics,
Mathematics or related technical discipline; or a BS degree with 3 or
more years related experience
·
