| Requirements |
This position requires an experienced self-starter with strong independent and team abilities. The successful candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills and experience: |
- 10 years experience in a complex technical environment, preferably aerospace and defense with demonstrated leadership experience and success in business development. Engineering and program management experience, and a strong familiarity with the commercial and military positioning, navigation and timing markets preferred. Experience with and knowledge of GPS applications including personnel and resource tracking, GPS jamming scenarios, weapons guidance, precision targeting, call-for-fire, and related C4ISR applications, a plus.
- Excellent plan development and execution skills, strategic thinker and team builder, well-organized and excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Ability to travel 25% of time via air or automobile trips with travel requirements up to 100% as needed.
- Experience with government (DOD) business development and proposal generation.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with professional presentation experience.
- Market research and analysis experience.
- Influence and drive the introduction of NAVSYS technology into the marketplace through market research and analysis, competitive landscape analysis, with a good understanding of key customer buying behaviors
- Marketing communications expertise.
- A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to handle multiple, changing priorities a must!
- Help maintain strong customer relations by maintaining a thorough knowledge base of key customers and their critical needs with good communication into the NAVSYS technology development teams.
- Design and organize appropriate themes, key messages, and overall company presence at conventions, trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
- Ability to brainstorm with customers and engineers high-level solutions employing NAVSYS technology.

| Job Description |
- Perform market and competitive analysis to identify business opportunities for our technology and products within both the commercial markets and Government markets (DOD, DHS, NGA, NASA, etc.)
- Developing company name and product recognition.
- Responding to customer inquiries.
- Develop and pursue leads for new business opportunities for our technology and products.
- Preparing proposals with the product teams.
- Preparing marketing and sales literature for product releases.
- Preparing presentation materials, making customer presentations, participating in trade shows and conferences, and preparing journal articles and press releases on products and applications.
- Representing the end-user perspective in product development activities, including product requirement documents and user manuals and documentation.
- Coordinating product sales activities with NAVSYS staff.
- Develop and maintain understanding of NAVSYS products, proposals, presentations and capability.
- Write commercialization plans for products and proposals when requested by the Technical Program Manager (TPM).
- Prepare marketing reports on all contacts and entries into the NAVSYS Contact list.
- Write BAA White Papers to initiate programs.
- Identify upcoming procurements and create capture plans

| Citizenship, Education, and Security Clearance |
- U.S. citizenship required.
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. MS or higher preferred.
