Job Summary |
This challenging position offers an experienced defense Security Development Engineer an opportunity to make major contributions to our product line development efforts, performing real-time encryption code development on embedded systems.
This position requires an experienced self-starter, able to jump in and hit the ground running—a team player who is also able to perform with individual accountability. A positive, flexible, “can do” attitude is required. |

| Requirements |
The successful candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills and experience: |
- Knowledge of defense / NSA encryption modules, key management, and Information Assurance (IA) and Common Criteria.
- Experience integrating encryption modules into commercial communications or military systems.
- Understand and maintain COMSEC in relationship to crypto security, transmission security, emission security, and physical security desired.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and testing Object-Oriented embedded software and/or firmware.
- A working knowledge of RTX for Windows, VxWorks, LynxOS, QNX, or other Real Time Operating Systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as C, C++, or Java, or firmware development languages and tools such as VHDL and Xilinx ISE.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational/planning/multi-tasking skills.
The following knowledge, skills and experience are highly desirable: |
- Experience with NSA certification.
- Experience with Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), Software-Defined Radios, and Software Communications Architecture (SCA).
- Skills and experience in C4ISR, military communications equipment, systems engineering, and networking.
- Experience working with PKI.
- Knowledge of and experience with SEI CMM/CMMI.
- Experience working on technical DoD programs.
- Object-Oriented Architecture/Design (OOA/OOD) experience using Unified Modeling Language (UML).

| Citizenship, Education, and Security Clearance |
- BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. MS preferred.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
