Job Summary |
This junior software engineer is a recent or soon-to-be graduate from an undergraduate or graduate academic program who has demonstrated a high level of skill in software programming and loves to be challenged. They will work in a hands-on R&D atmosphere with a cross-functional team of hardware, firmware, software, and research engineers and program managers. They will contribute to the design and development of global positioning, inertial and communication systems where the key innovation is software-based. This position requires a self-starter who is able to jump in and hit the ground running, a team player, and a versatile performer who can both work the big picture and deep dive in their areas of expertise to provide an individual contribution. A positive, flexible, “can-do” attitude is required. |

| Requirements |
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of knowledge, skills and experience:
- Two + years hands-on experience coding software
- Demonstrated proficiency in coding in C, C++ and/or Java (level 6 or better on a 10 point scale)
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Architecture and Design
- Strong organizational, planning, multitasking and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
The following knowledge, skills, and experience are highly desirable:
- Experience using or interfacing with MATLAB and/or Simulink code
- Knowledge of requirement analysis, architectural design, and service-oriented architectures
- Experience with system integration and testing and performance analysis
- Knowledge of navigation systems and concepts
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is a big plus: real-time systems, radar systems, RF communications, GPS receivers, digital signal processing, antennas, or instrument navigation

Citizenship, Education, and Security Clearance |
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related technical discipline.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required
