| Job Description |
The Research Engineer will be responsible for the following: |
- Develop and implement GPS, GPS/INS, and other navigation and signal processing algorithms.
- Prototype software designs in MATLAB, transition to real-time C++ code, and support demonstration efforts on sensor test-bed and prototype hardware.
- Provide analytical support for research and systems projects including running test equipment for data capture, analysis of test data and producing associated analysis documentation.
- Evaluate alternate/improved sensor processing algorithms to enhance system functionality via analysis/simulation/experimentation.
- Develop signal processing algorithms for analysis of GPS data in challenging reception environments.
- May perform functions with signal acquisition and tracking loops (PLL, DLL, FLL, MLE, KF)

| Requirements |
The successful candidate must possess the following combination
of knowledge, skills, and experience: |
- A working knowledge of stochastic estimation theory, including Kalman filtering.
- MATLAB and C/C++ programming skills.

The following knowledge, skills and experience are highly desirable: |
- Implementation of algorithms using general purpose processors for real-time applications.
- Signal estimation and detection theory.
- Signal processing algorithms for spread spectrum systems (PLL, DLL, FLL, MLE, KF).
- Strapdown inertial navigation algorithms.
- Technical documentation.
- Field testing.
- Java and or databases.
- RF and or communications modeling and simulation.
- Algorithm integration into FPGA's.

| Citizenship, Education, and Security Clearance |
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident is preferred.
- MS or higher in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical discipline; or a BS degree with 3 or more years related experience
- An active security clearance is preferred.
