Job Summary |
|
Want real world GPS engineering experience in
a cutting edge R&D environment? This is an opportunity for a
recently graduated Electrical or Aerospace Engineer proficient
in MATLAB software, with academic training in signal processing,
signal simulation and digital communications.
This individual will work under the direction
of a senior systems engineer and senior research staff to help
develop and test new applications for the NAVSYS GPS Signal
Simulation Toolbox. These MATLAB-based tools, which enable GPS
data analysis & signal processing, will focus on the use of data
from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). This individual
will write and test Matlab code, write documentation, and learn
a lot about GPS and GNSS.

| Academic Requirements |
The following is
required: |
-
Graduate of an Electrical Engineering or Aerospace
Engineering academic program. Candidate should have a
graduate degree or an undergraduate degree with 2+ year
relevant experience.

Is highly proficient in programming in MATLAB. Has some
experience in using C and C++
-
Has successfully completed the
following coursework in good standing:
Estimation theory methodology, Kalman filtering, and Stochastic models
- Signal
processing and systems
- Digital communications I & II
- Statistical signal processing
- Signal acquisition and tracking loops
(PLL, DLL, FLL, MLE, KF)
- Spread spectrum communications

| The following is not required but
highly desirable: |

Has experience or completed coursework
in:
- Estimation theory and adaptive
filters (e.g., Kalman filters, and Stochastic models)
- Image processing
- GPS or GNSS (Global Navigation
Satellite Systems) applications and receiver design
|
- Experience with implementation of algorithms using general purpose processors for real-time applications
|
| Citizenship and Security Clearance |
- U.S. citizen is desired
- An active Secret or Top Secret Clearance is a plus
