| Job Description |
The Research Engineer will be responsible for the following: |
- Perform functions with signal acquisition and tracking loops (PLL,
DLL, FLL, MLE, KF).
- Develop and implement navigation and signal processing algorithms.
- Perform functions associated with research, development, and application
of novel signal processing techniques.
- Provide signal processing analytical support for research and systems
projects
- Devise signal detection and classification techniques.
- Evaluate alternate/improved sensor processing algorithms to enhance
system functionality via analysis/simulation/experimentation.
- Prototype software designs in MATLAB, transition to real-time C-code,
and support demonstration efforts on sensor test-bed and prototype
hardware.
- May serve as a technical lead or program manager for research contracts.

The successful candidate must possess the following combination
of knowledge, skills, and experience: |
- A working knowledge of Kalman/Adaptive filtering, Stochastic models,
Detection, Estimation and Control theory, Statistical Signal processing
and Adaptive Signal processing.
- Experience with implementation of algorithms using general purpose
processors for real-time applications.
- Understanding of signal processing theory.
- Advanced mathematics and analytical skills.
- C/C++ and MATLAB programming skills.
|
The following knowledge, skills and experience are highly desirable: |
- Spatial processing algorithm development.
- Experience working with Strapdown inertial navigation algorithms
and control systems.
- Familiarity/experience working with real time operating systems
and FPGA design.
- Knowledge of TDOA / FDOA analysis and tracking loops.
- IMU and/or UTC system design.
- Waveform design.
